Disclaimer: I'm just an average guy...
We've heard their little mantra ever since Al Gore made the case for it in his film, "An Inconvenient Truth." I'm sure you've heard it. "Nine of the ten hottest years on record have occurred in the last decade." And data at NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies backed up the claim, too... until last week that is.
It turns out their data, which started using new methods to measure temperature (inconveniently) about a decade ago, have amended their data to correlate the two systems of measurement. As it turns out, four of the top ten hottest years on record now fall in the 1930's, as opposed to only three in the last decade. The hottest year is 1934, bumping 1998 out of her top spot, and 1921 has sprinted up to third. It's a catastrophe for the global warming crowd!
Perhaps now Heidi Cullen would agree that maybe we should wait a little longer before implementing her plan to decertify any meteorologists who disagree with her man-made global warming stance. And perhaps Ellen Goodman could retract her statement "global warming deniers are now on par with Holocaust deniers." The science suddenly doesn't seem so cut and dry.
But at least we know why they feel they have to silence and vilify any opposition... their science sucks!Related "BoldColor" Blog Entries:
