Iowa Joins Massachusetts

Disclaimer: I'm just an average guy...

Well, it's official.  Iowa has just joined Massachusetts as the only other state in the Union which allows gay "marriage."  Of course, the definition of marriage was not changed by the state legislature and governor.  No state has taken that step with marriage.  But like Massachusetts, it was a judge that has done it... Big surprise.

Democrats in Iowa have consistently fought against an Iowa Constitutional Marriage Amendment, saying it is not needed.  In reality, all they have done is set the stage for a judge to make the decision for them... and that's exactly what has happened today.  Are they blind?  Or was this an intentional strategy by Democrats to implement a radical change in Iowa's "marriage" policy by simply leaving the door open for the courts to do it?

Seriously... Why would a liberal politician in a moderate state vote yes on gay "marriage" and get voted out of office, when you can just have a judge do the dirty work and get the same result for their extremist base?
