Disclaimer: I'm just an average guy...
The NAACP has announced their support for NFL Quarterback, Michael Vick, who was recently indicted on charges that he ran a brutal dog fighting operation at his Virginia home. R.L. White, President of the Atlanta Chapter of the NAACP had this to say: "If Mr. Vick is guilty, he should pay for his crime, but to treat him as he is being treated now is also a crime. Be restrained in your premature judgment until the legal process is completed."
Gosh... I don't recall any "civil rights" leaders calling for any measure of moderation when three white Duke Lacrosse players were indicted for raping a black stripper. And, when the players were finally exonerated, I didn't hear any apologies from those "civil rights" leaders.
Does anyone else sense a double standard?
