Here's what I think anyway...
Wow.  Michigan sure knows how to pick their public university presidents, don't they?  Last year, University of Michigan President Mary Sue Coleman said that she would enforce an admissions policy that gave preference to women and minorities, even after voters amended the state's constitution to disallow such preferences.  She would later be forced to comply, though the University is continuing to use the peoples' tax dollars to fight the peoples' will in court!  Amazing.

Now we read that the President of Eastern Michigan University, John Fallon, is being fired due to allegations that he and other school officials covered up the rape and murder of a student in order to "protect the school's image."  Now, we've read about a lot of ridiculocities coming out of liberal academia (see Duke "Rape" Case, Ward Churchill, etc. ad naseum), but this one really takes the cake.

Can you imagine the pain that her parents must being going through, having lost a child?  And in such a horrible manner?  Now multiply that by the added insult of a public institution of higher "education," to which you're paying a lot of money, trying to cover up that crime to protect their image!  It's insane!

The action against Mr. Fallon, and anyone else involved in this horrible scam, should not stop at simply losing their jobs.  There needs to be a legal investigation to find out if there was obstruction of justice or other crimes committed as they attempted to help a murder walk free for the sake of their precious image.

Perhaps the Michigan Board of Regents needs to be held accountable for the type of people they're putting in charge of their public institutions.
